The page is divided up into many small panels -- a variety of extreme close-ups on the women as they talk (it could be close-ups of faces, hands, crossed legs, a finger on a water glass, etc.). Jessica is still in her over-the-top superhero costume, with a long coat over it, as in last issue... Dee and Shareen are in whatever everyday clothes they were wearing previously as well... Our new addition to the group, Katie, wears very conservative baggy clothes. She's Japanese, has long hair, and is very serious. She wears a small silver bracelet which she fiddles with (a nervous habit)... CAPTION: Four Women Have Gathered... CAPTION: To figure out what exactly happened... CAPTION: How exactly their lives could be up-ended so suddenly... CAPTION: That their husbands, four mighty superheroes, could be killed so suddenly. KATIE: Tommy. My brother...he, he didn't like Robert.
NOTE TO ARTIST:
The word balloons and captions WILL cover up a good portion of these pictures, so plan accordingly.

KATIE: We trusted him with what was once the secret identity of Idea Man...
KATIE: Which is what led Robert to getting rid of the helmet...
KATIE: and hiding us here, in the Skyscraper Fortress.
DEE: Do you know how to find your brother? More could die if--
KATIE: More already have.
JESSICA: Are you speaking figuratively? You're not dead. Our lives don't st --
KATIE: No. Not me. Where've you three been the last few hours?
DEE: What're you --?
KATIE: Your homes. Dr. Technology's home in Santa Monica -- destroyed.

KATIE: And in Calabasas, the entire building where you and John lived -- rubble.
KATIE: Hundreds injured...I don't recall how many dead...

KATIE: Obviously, your home in Railway City is next Dee.

PAGE 2 SPLASH: It's a shot of a sunrise...Railway City (something somewhere should show this [i.e. a billboard]) is seen, from a POV atop a skyscraper. In the distance, police copters and SWAT teams can be seen surrounding a building -- it's a beautiful residential building on the North Face section of town (in terms of placement, this simply means the section of town where the buildings border water). The four women, in an inset, are standing by a window in Idea Man's Chicago Skyscraper Fortress. Katie has her head down, Jess stands alone, Dee stands staring, angry...Shareen has a comforting hand on Dee's shoulder. ONE:
The police have the Hero Killer surrounded in Dee's apartment.
Helicopters await outside the apartment...SWAT teams line the rooftops.
TWO:
Within the room, the Hero Killer stands at the doorway, which he kicked in (last issue)...armed officers are taking their place in the hallway behind him.
OFFICER: I'm not sure what you thought, buddy, but most villains have the brains not to have such an obvious pattern.
HERO KILLER: Well, you are thus my intellectual superior...

HERO KILLER 2: For, were it so "obvious" to me, I think another direction would have been chosen. After all, Maximum Man's identity is, er, was, a secret. THREE: OFFICER: Whatever. Somebody cuff him...and take off that ridiculous mask of his. FOUR: Mask pulled off, the Hero Killer is cuffed and led out. |

PANEL ONE:
Back at the skyscraper fortress, there's panic...
SHAREEN: Dee, I need your cell. I gotta see if Jeffrey and mom are okay -- I mean, if my home's destroyed--
SHAREEN: --What's happened to them?
TWO:
DEE: Kate, I--
KATIE: Katie.
DEE: What evah! I need a phone, some way to find out if my house is still there.
THREE:
KATIE: I thought you have an apartment.
DEE: Figure...of...speech!
KATIE: Come with me. I've got a better way to find out.
FOUR:
Jessica sits by herself...
JESSICA CAPTION: I miss him. I don't like this. Maybe I wasn't as...careful with our relationship as I should've been...
JESSICA CAPTION 2: ...But it doesn't mean I didn't care. Everyone's fragile. I'm sorry, John, maybe I didn't do your heart justice...

ONE: We're in a large communications room now. Typical superhero monitoring station with a complex computer and monitors (and how about showing some speakers-- Batman and the JLA never seem to have speakers). DEE: Oh baby...this is tight! So, what, you can watch the world from here? KATIE: Basically...but it's better than that. KATIE: It can interpret all audio resources into binary code, process it, and file it with billions of cross-references. DEE: Sheesh, girl! No wonder they called him the Idea Man. |

TWO:
at top of panel...
KATIE: Yeah...it was his idea--
at bottom of panel...
KATIE 2: --But I wrote the program.
THREE:
She types on a computer connected to the system... There are four icons on the screen to click:
InternetT.V. is highlighted. Just below that is a Search line where what she's typing appears: "Railway City" "Light Brigade"
FOUR:
KATIE: The system digitally records every local network and all of the national news networks on a 48-hour loops. So, I'm sure we'll find som--
DEE: Do you miss him yet?
FIVE:
She looks at Dee.
KATIE: Terribly.
SIX:
They stand in silence, Katie looking at the computer (and the monitors and so forth), Dee looking at Katie...
SEVEN:
On the screen, numerous choices appear as they would on an internet search engine (but more orderly).
KATIE (O.P.): Ah! Let's see what we've got!....
PAGE 6ONE:
Shareen is sitting on one side of the room, head resting on her arms (which rest on her lap)...Jessica is on the other side of the room, fiddling with a silver bracelet on her arm (it should look similar or exact to the one Katie wears).
TWO:
Dee pops into the room. The others look up.
DEE: We gotta get in gear -- they've caught the guy.
THREE:
JESS: "The guy"?
DEE: The guy!
FOUR:
SHAREEN: Where to?...and I get the first punch.
FIVE:
DEE: Hold it!
DEE 2: We are not goin' after some supervillain like a bunch of big boys in tights! He is captured. The police have him! There is nothing we need to do there!
SIX:
Katie has entered.
KATIE: Then why must we go?
PAGE 7ONE:
CAPTION: The 21st Precinct - Railway City.
TWO:
The Hero Killer is unmasked and in prison togs...he's sitting there like a regular guy...his cellmate is just some average-looking junkie.
THREE - END OF PAGE:
Officers come in and take him away. He struggles a bit -- silently -- as they put cuffs on him. During the struggle he slips out the keys to the cuffs from one officer's belt. He hooks them -- while cuffed -- into the
inside of the back of his shirt.
PAGE 8ONE:
The girls are walking down a long corridor, Katie leading the way.
JESSICA: Okay, so the police have him. What do they need us around for?
SHAREEN: They'll probably extradite him to LA anyway -- that's where he...did the most damage.
TWO:
They reach a doorway.
KATIE: This is the garage.
JESSICA (with a smirk): Are we taking the "Ideamobile"?
THREE:
Katie doesn't respond as they enter.
FOUR:
Katie hits the lights.
FIVE:
DEE: That's the Ideamobile?
SIX:
Larger pic showing a car in mint condition...
KATIE: It's a 1988 Mercury Cougar.
SHAREEN (balloon dripping with sarcasm): It's beautiful.
JESSICA: Aha-haha!!
JESSICA 2: Oh. Oh, I'm sorry. *giggle*
